Recently, as far as I know, I have noticed Amtrak using its Amfleet Ph. II or "long distance coaches" on the ML. Anybody know the reason for this? I always thought that Ph. II's were in short supply so, what gives? I thought maybe since the ML run, assuming it's on time, is around 12 hours. Maybe Amtrak is offering a more spacious ride on this train?
