Still not open. The local paper today says there has been no planned date of traffic resumption announced. The Amtrak website doesn't give much information either except that Union Pacific crews are working on the problems. Highway 101 is open again in both directions at La Conchita. The rain line there is being cleared but there are plenty of other problems both north and south of SBA.

Frank in, finally, Sunny SBA

NARP reports that the line will be closed "at least" until Feb. 1.

So, anything north of Los Angeles is not going? I saw an article on this in the Metro section of the LA times. According to the artice the Union Pacific RR is losing alot of money.
