I'll probably be "off line" until Tuesday, but wanted to wish a Happy New Year to my favorite Train Web correspondents!!
Happy New Year to y'all -- to George and Gilbert, to Ms. Sojourner and Ms. Vicki, to Jonathon (keep those cool train pix coming!), also to Southwest Chief, Ira, Frank in Santa Barbara, Grandma Judy, Mr. Toy, and of course to David "Not Elvis", my fellow Floridian Pojon, jp and gp, Twin Star Rocket, Train Lady, Montana Jim, Yukon, travelplus, Mr. Guenzler, TalkRR, and all those who I forgot to mention. May your New year be filled with bagpipes, ponies, fast trains, on-time trains, and new services!!

Rich, one of these days I'll probably bump into you catching the Silver Star out of Winter Park. The train ride dulls the agony of visiting my in-laws! (I'm mostly jesting - they have always been welcoming.....it's just that they are a big, loud, practical joking kind of family and mine growing up was not!)

Indeed, Happy New Year to all mentioned above by Rich but don't forget Zephyr. Think of me next Friday as I board the Sunset Limited for my first two night train trip. Anyone who is in LA that afternoon should come on down for the departure - there will definitely be bag pipes a piping and ponies a ponying.
