Very interesting. Thank You.

I strongly recommend a visit to the Golden Spike National Historic Site at Promontory Summit, UT for any railfan......or any fan of historic sites period. The vast nothingness just getting to Promontory is awe-inspiring and a graphic example of just how significant the first transcontinental railroad was.

(I've been there twice now.....just fabulous.)
