It was just on the news right now that a Railroad bridge leading into SAC has caught fire, it showed a video of the bridge, looks like it's completely distroyed, they said there were know trains on it at the time but many Amtrak Trains will be delayed because of it.

14 and 11 are least likely to be delayed, because they can use the former Western Pacific north of Sacramento. There delays are likely to be from trying stuff all the freight that would normally go east of Sacramento through Roseville onto this line.
The CZ will probably terminate at Roseville for quite a while. From the Sacramento Bee:
"A dramatic evening fire Thursday along the American River Parkway near Cal Expo destroyed a Union Pacific mainline track, sending billowing black smoke thousands of feet into the blue skies, and disrupting train traffic through the Central Valley."
"The hot-burning fire, first reported at 5:41 p.m., quickly consumed about 600 feet of heavy-duty trestle timber and tracks in a secluded section of the American River Parkway, just north of the American River."
"As night fell and firefighting continued, the blaze was toppling burned sections of the 25-foot-high rail trestle and showed little sign of dying down."
"The fire on the trestle, several hundred yards west of the Capitol City Freeway, caused backups for several miles during the late evening rush hour. The smoke plume was reportedly seen from 50 miles away."
Looking at Google earth for additional information:
This is the north approach to the five through truss span bridge over the American River. The trestle section appears to be about 1400 feet long and the through turss section about 850 feet long, and there is a short, maybe 150 feet long south trestle. Directions are general compass directions. In railroad terms, the long trestle is the east end of the bridge. The line is double track.
Since the American River bridge is between Sacramento and Roseville, it does not affect most of the California Capital Corridor trains. It does affect Amtrak’s California Zephyr, which was terminated at Roseville on the day of the fire.
By railroad definition, this is on the Martinez Subdivision, just off the east end of the wye at Elvas, located about milepost 92.2 (zero at Oakland CA). Can anybody improve on my milepost information?

I don't know why 11 & 14 should be affected at all. I think the fire was east of the Starlight's route.
Reports today say 5&6 will be detoured through Marysville to the north, which will add a few hours of delay to the trip. Capitol Corridor trains from Sactramento to Auburn will be replaced by busses until further notice. UP freight will detour through both Marysville and downtown Sacramento.
