Does anyone know what's up with the Coast Starlight? Hope recent delays were weather related and not a UP relapse.

If you go to the Weather Channel and take a look at the weather for central and northern California the last three days, you may find an inkling or two about what delayed the train.

The Coast Starlight has been doing very well lately. Even with these crazy storms, #14 got through fairly well. It was #11 that was having a heck of a time during the storms. Wires down across tracks, then trees down across tracks, then power outages that had effects on signaling systems, and some slow-orders due to water across the tracks. It seems like every time they got moving, something else got in their way.
