I saw a derailment similar to this in July, when the Silver Star hit a truck in Plant City, Florida.

This accident could have been prevented, with better vehicle traffic management.

It could have been prevented had the driver of the truck remembered his CDL training and not pulled onto a railroad crossing that he would not be able to clear without stopping.

That's in the CDL manuals.....trust me.

Any driver, not just a truck driver, should remember not to stop on the tracks.

The 2 engines didn't derail, however the middle coaches did. Could this be the result of hard braking or emergency braking.
