I can't respond to your specific train but during the past few weeks train #2 has lost tons of time in Texas due to trackwork...I believe between San Antonio and Houston. It seems if they miss their scheduled "window" they get stuck with massive delays. Freight congestion or other matters almost always make that happen.

Union Pacific dispatching is terrible. They have no incentive to get Amtrak through their scheduled maintenance, causing Amtrak to get out of their "time slot", causing more delays. I have written my Congress people with Cc's to UP's COO and Amtrak's President Gunn. I'm wondering what type of response I'll receive....
