Amtrak is truncating Nos. 3 and 4 to run only from Kansas City west, and has suspended service on several of the Midwestern routes, owing to the heavy rains the last couple of days. (Evanston, where I live, got more than 7 inches and it's still coming down.)

We had over 9 inches last week but I didn't hear about any train tie ups. Acela is advertizing on all the news programs. The problem is all it says is ride on Ascela and for those not in the know it is useless. I wonder what genius thought that one up.
