A friend of mine is flying in to Burbank airport and needs to get to San Diego. Can you do that on the surfliner?

Yes. The Amtrak station is an easy stroll from the Burbank terminal. From there, you can catch a Surfliner to Sandy Eggo.

When I've done something really bad and have to go to SoCal, Burbank is my preferred airport because of its easy Amtrak connection.

Thanks, Zephyr. Is there an on-line schedule available?

Talk about having to be spoon-fed. I am a college graduate, altho you might not know it. I've got it now, and the location of the station in SD. Thanks.

The interval between Amtrak trains at Burbank Airport ranges from 2 to 4 hours. If faced with a long wait, an alternative (on weekdays) is to take a Metrolink train to Union Station. Southbound Surfliner service is more frequent from LA, as many of the trains originate there.

Russ,
Thanks for that. Do we know how frequently the Metrolink runs?
