By popular request, I have completed a route guide for the Empire Builder between Portland and Spokane, and have posted it on my web site:

http://www.railroadrich.com/log_15b.html

My guide from Seattle to Glacier Park (Log #15a) was completed a few years ago, but I haven't put it in my current computer and updated it yet -- that'll likely be one of the next few I will be doing.

Thanks for the route guide, Rich. Well done! I will probably be taking the Builder from Portland to Spokane next year.

Rich that's good work; thanks for sharing. I'm looking forward especially to you Seattle to Glacier Park (Log #15a) posting.
I've ridden the Builder many times West to East. As I'm from Texas, more intel on the route will be valuable.
