The topic of Amtrak's Writers in Residence program was recently posted in a local transportation forum, the Seattle Transit Blog, igniting quite a squabble. The STB is dominated by well-educated men, most under the age of 40, many of whom work in the local high tech industries. I regularly read the Blog, but rarely post any opinions (I'm not a techie and not under 40). Enjoy!
