The Oct. issue of TRAINS magazine had an article on the Santa Fe Super Chief Acoma lounge car. It combined a dormitory, barber shop, & buffet-lounge car. The article says it occasionally goes on tour with various train excursions:

I think the car was put into use for some sort of run between Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo last year. Does anyone know where or when the car will be back on the rails?

Some film footage of the 1952 Santa Fe Super Chief, including various lounge cars and barber shop. Also the Turquoise Room. Light up that Herbert Tareyton!
