The misty Downeaster shot is my favorite. If you want to see some different trains, come visit us in the Pacific Northwest. We've got Talgos, Superliners and Bombardier Bi-levels in the Puget Sound area, plus Colorado Railcar DMUs in the Portland (OR) area.

I was last in the Pacific Northwest in 1985. I traveled on The Pioneer from Salt Lake City to Seattle. Then I rode the Coast Starlight to Los Angeles. Superliners all the way.

I don't think any of those trains you mention were running at the time. King Street Station was a lonely shadow of its former self!
