Amtrak California's Capitol Corridor has throughway bus connections to the Monterey Peninsula. I see these busses quite often, and I have yet to see one that has even a single passenger on board!

This is not surprising, since the scheduled throughway bus travel time is two hours and fifteen minutes just to get to the San Jose train station. You can easily drive to San Jose in one hour. A good three hours is involved before you actually get on a train to take you to Sacramento. You could drive most of the way to Sacramento in that time. This bus is absolutely useless.
