I am new to model railroading. I recently purchase a Great Northern DCC loco..parts A & B.
The locomotive required the assembly of couplers...with a very poor diagram on how to do it. The little pices went flying, and after spending over an hour trying to attach them, I finally did. However, they did not work...probably to assembly error.

Can anyone recommend a coupler which does not require assembly and easy to install, such as just putting it in with the little screw that comes with the loco and cars? Walthers has some couplers called "proto max" which look like they may be what I cam looking for..but not sure.

Check out Kadee http://www.kadee.com/.
They make an entire line of couplers that are compatible to each other.
