I'm looking for a model of the "California Cars" used by the surfliners and capitol corridor trainsets. Are there any, or possibly any stand-ins or donors for a decent kit-bash?

Doesn't Walthers offer the Bombardier cars in Amtrac livery?

Amtrak does not own bombadier cars, you are thinking of the Alstom/M&K Cali cars and thats what we are all wanting, I know that there is Brass HO and plastic Z and i think Walthers would rake in some bucks if they did the Cali cars

Whoever does the Amtrak California/Surfliner cars will sell them like hotcakes! Concor did some Superliners in Surfliner paint, but the car is not even close so of course they didn't sell. MTH has a O scale version, but only expensive brass HO in the smaller scales.

Did the Concor Surfliner painted cars ever come out? I never saw them.

I've never understood why Athearn makes Amtrak California and Surfliner locomotives, but nobody makes the passenger cars. You gotta wonder what goes through their minds.
