MR Jan 03 had an article on polishes as a track
cleaner. I have used many different liquid cleaners/enhancers and the track cleaning cars,
the $64.00 centerline and the $99.00 Tony's clean machine.
I traded up from the centerline to Tony's and have since parked it on a rail siding.
Of all the products, MAAS, a $3.00 tube featured in the MR article is the best cleaner
for my HO set/loco wheels.

May not work well with N scale locos since
they only weigh approx 4 oz and the wheels will slip.

I have been using a centerline cleaner for several years, and I have been quite happy with it. But everything can be improved. I will try some of this Maas on my N-scale railroad. I have never had problems with wheels slipping in the past, so I hope they still will not slip. Even so, there is little harm in trying it. Thank you for the suggestion.
