I have always had it in the back of my head to model a railroad where Missouri Pacific & Southern Pacific share track. Does anyone know of some good prototype areas where the two railroads share trackage and facilities. Areas that would be interesting to model.

I don't know any offhand for Missouri Pacific proper, but their Texas & Pacific subsidiary shared trackage and stations with Southern Pacific through West Texas between Sierra Blanca and El Paso. Should be some interesting small towns in that stretch you could model.

ETA: Try Fort Hancock, TX, along the Rio Grande, or perhaps Sierra Blanca itself.
