"Inherent Vice" by Thomas Pynchon. Nothing like the movie, which was hard enough to follow. This journey through the world of ***, drugs, and rock and roll in the 60's reprised for me that great quote by Wavy Gravy - "If you remember the 60's, you weren't there."
