Doug C. Richardson, age 71, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2002. Born in Manitoba, Canada where his family farmed in the Clearwater district for many years. At the age of 19, he married Audrey Debenham and later served an apprenticeship with the Canadian Pacific Railroad in Winnipeg. He also became president of the Seven Oaks Game & Fish Association. Eventually arriving in the states and settling in the Seattle area, he worked for the Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Railroads. He also worked for the State of Washington at the Utilities & Transportation Commission as a train inspector. A railroad man all his life, he never missed a days work in 42 years. After taking a well deserved early retirement, he enjoyed his time doing the things he loved most. An avid duck hunter and craftsman, he loved to work in his shop and could build just about any project. He is survived by his wife Audrey, to whom he was married 52 years and was the love of his life. He also leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Debra and son-in-law Dennis Sullivan of Phoenix, AZ; a granddaughter, Sheena Sullivan and two sons Murray and Wes. Doug was truly loved and will be terribly missed. A private service will be held for the family. For those who wish to contact the family please write; The Richardson's, 16013 S. Desert Foothills Parkway #1058, Phoenix, AZ. 85048.
