I seem to recall that sometime during the 1980's, that CSX abandoned a section of mainline track in Central Florida; this in turn required Amtrak to permanently reroute one of their north-south Florida trains.

I think this was in the Ocala or Wildwood area... but am not sure.

Can anyone tell me:

1) which section of CSX track was abandoned (between what two cities)?

2) which Amtrak train was affected?

Thanks in advance!
