I'm currently scratch building 12 auotoracks in O scale , does anyone have knowledge of a book on which roads used these cars and any pictures, I realize most roads just made up racks for trailertrain flats, any info would greatly be appreciated .

I seem to remember one issue of Model Railroader that described how to build such autoracks using a 1960's Santa Fe prototype. Unfortunately I don't remember which issue. I think the model called for either two or three trailer train flats. Two of course would make up the upper levels and so have no trucks.
