This is my first BB posting. I have to travel to Richmond Va tomorrow and would like to know where there are some good locations for taking photos of trains. Are there any shortlines in that region. Thanks in advance.

Are you traveling by train, plane or car? If you have a car, I think you could go see the 3-level rail bridge crossing still in place, just north of the river.
Amtrak does not use any of those routes, though, it uses a by-pass further west.
