We went down for a quick meet and greet with Miss Vicki and Mr. Art today (07/01) as they headed north on #14. They were in the "George Pullman" just ahead of the Pacific Parlour Car Santa Lucia Highlands. They had 1:30PM reservations for lunch there. Arrival into SBA was about five minutes early and departure was on time. It appears from speaking with Julie that they will be ontime into SLO and, hopefully, San Francisco.
The Alaska adventure begins tomorrow as they board the Sea Princess.

Love Tub afficiandos around here will enjoy reading this article appearing in Saturday's Wall Street Journal Off Duty section where a Brooklyn-Southampton Trans-At voyage on the Queen Mary 2 is reviewed:
What comes as a surprise to me is if you are willing to "do it on the cheap" (the reporter appeared to "do it sort of on the cheap"), the cost will be in line with Economy Class air travel. A $700 one way fare is noted; but again caution - that's "on the cheap".

And I had friends on-board today who met both of them. Wish I could have made it, darn it!
