Thanks, enjoyed it. The Buckley family writings are always entertaining. I did not realize he has also done the funny 'Thank you for smoking' book and, later, movie. His uncle, Reid, lives in our town.

Great story - but now I have another must-visit site in my daily routine. My messy house thanks you!

(I always head for the Quiet Car on the Hiawatha & have even been the Shush-Nazi on occasion.)

--------------------
My new "default" station (EKH) has no baggage service or QuikTrak machine, but the parking is free! And the NY Central RR Museum is just across the tracks (but not open at Amtrak train times. . ..)

I am probably the only person on this forum who doesn't NEED a quiet car, but I would be happy to play Shush Nazi on behalf of anyone who asks.

I think Christopher Buckley is the funniest person in American journalism. A kind of cross between H.L. Mencken and Dave Barry.
