Within Berkshire Hathaway's Annual Letter to Shareholders is the following closing relating to Warren's invitation to come join him in Omaha.
Nothing, however, is more fun for us than getting together with our shareholder-partners at Berkshire’s annual meeting. So join us on May 1st at the Qwest for our annual Woodstock for Capitalists. We’ll see you there.

Do you believe that's an invitation for a nocturnal Amtrak arrival or does BNSF intend to operate a special train with posh private varnish?

10:30 pm coming from the east or 5:40 am coming from the west on the CZ is not too ungodly, but I doubt that many shareholders will heed his advice.
WB certainly has the resources to run a private train from anywhere to anywhere on BNSF (his "model railroad setup"), but doubt that he would do so for this meeting.

One other thought. I like the term he uses, "Woodstock for Capitalists." Is he making a veiled refernce to that new documentary movie coming out next month that's got the right wing's underwear all bunched up, "Generation Zero"? As I understand it, the film blames the Woodstock generation for the recent financial meltdown. You go, Warren!

But Mike, the 10:30pm westbound 'assumes' an on-time arrival.
I doubt that many of Warren's disciples would find Amtrak's unpredictability acceptable!

Right, David, but if they were late due to BNSF, they'd have something to bitch about at the shareholder's meeting!

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Billionaire investor Carl Icahn is backing a startup company that would build trains to run on President Barack Obama's high-speed rail network, challenging international manufacturers that dominate the market, the company said Thursday.
Icahn's American Railcar Industries Inc. has formed a joint venture with US Railcar LLC, a Columbus-based company that aims to re-establish passenger train manufacturing in the United States.
Production would be based in Arkansas, where American Railcar has two freight car factories. Icahn Enterprises LP has a 54 percent stake of American Railcar, based in St. Charles, Mo.

Baracks Trains, Baracks Car Company, Baracks Insurance Company. Don't you think it might be best if high speed rails are laid before we start building the cars. Cart before the Horse.

This sounds a little like turning a Model T manufacturing plant into a plant to manufacture 2010 models.
