It appears the Chicago-Denver Summer season Sleeper line is "ON", as I have had at least four observations of such on #5 since June 16. Car is placed at rear of consist.

I'm glad they're making the effort, but they still have a ways to go to match the capacity of the Denver Zephyr.

Mr. Palmland, at "The End", it appears that the DZ's consist was Coach, Dome Coach, Diner, Dome Parlor Lounge, 10-6 Sleeper, 24-8 Slumbercoach. The Colo Spgs cars interchanged to the D&RGW were gone. Apparently, the Dining Car crew was dormed in line Sleeper space as the Dome-Dorm-Cafe car "Chuck Wagon" appears to have been withdrawn.

Yes, GBN, the end was pretty grim, but I'll take a seat any day in that Dome-Parlor-Lounge, which was in fact a blunt end observation proudly lit with the DZ logo on the tail.
