A problem: a total of $60M matching funds must be provided by each award recipient state...they all broke!!
Also of interest, Illinois is opting for conventional bi-level cars. I continue to hold that there is a better home for the Talgos under construction than Wisconsin.
All told no exotica; just incremental steps towards "highER speed rail'.
And of course "buy American"; whatever that may mean.
