Interesting; in view that the weapon must travel as checked baggage - and neither The Vermonter nor the Ethan Allen offer such.
However, with the surplus of V-Bags, that could change.

Common sense says that if you every did carry a gun on a train, checked baggage or otherwise you would make it as inconspicuous as possible, and to have it in a gun case would be the dead opposite and extremely obvious. You might as well put a sign on it that says "steal me" The one who took up that message and followed it is the one you would have to be concerned about, not the guy that took precautions.
