I work with Logistics for a stainless steel mill in Brazil, named Acesita. As Acesita is planning to change the size of their products (coils) from 12t to 25t, I would like to confirm if it's possible to transport these coils on trains that travel from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh. The external diameter of these coils is 2100mm, and they're usually transported on horizontal axis. I wonder if you might help us, or give us some orientation about where we can get help to confirm this doubt.

Best Regards,
Flavio Rafael Andrade
Acesita SA

Yes, it is quite possible to transport your steel coils from Phila. to Pittsburgh. Are you planning on sending them through Novolog in Fairless Hills, PA?

Novolog will know what to do. You'll want covered coil steel cars, and I believe 84-inch diameter coils should be no problem.
