In about two weeks I'll be taking the Sunset Limited between Orlando and New Orleans for fun. I got a great deal on the RailSale...$17.60!!! Quite a cheap rate for a nearly 19-hour ride! I'll be arriving into Orlando at around 9:30am on a Southwest Airlines flight...I figure i'll probably hang around the airport for awhile before taking some sort of shuttle to the train station. Does anyone know how long of a ride it is from the airport to the station? Any suggestions on the best way to get there?

This will mark my first time on the Sunset East of NOL...my longest Amtrak segment ever....my first overnight journey on Amtrak....and finally, it will complete the goal of mine to ride on all four routes out of New Orleans.

I took the Sunset on a NOL-San Antonio roundtrip last August, and I loved every minute of it. Outbound, we were about two hours late into SAS, and coming back, we ran exactly 6 hours late....but it was still very enjoyable...great crew, friendly service! Gotta love those Superliners!
