The San Bernardino former Santa Fe station has been repainted and partially refurbished. There will be an Open House on Sunday, 6/13, from Noon-2 pm.

This station is still served by the Southwest Chief.

AT&SF 3751 is already there!

Was it not my understanding that there was "a little fruc fruc over $$$$" between Amtrak and the agency sponsoring the Station's restoration?

It that be the case, it would appear to have been resolved.

We went there today, to the grand opening. The cost was $14M according to a video they were showing in the waiting room. A lot of work involving asbestos removal, mold removal, etc.

They installed a central air system.

It is interesting that Metrolink was ok with the 3751 operating on its rails but BNSF was very reluctant. Then again, BNSF is running dozens of freights through there and doesn't want to tie up its main line.
