There was a website once somewhere that had the names of all the viewliner cars...does anyone know if this site still exists and the address for it?
Thanks.

20th, This site has all the nick-names for the cars with the numbers as well. However there is still no list as detailed as the Superliner roster.

From that link: "As the Superliner-II sleepers are being overhauled, their livery is being updated. Part of this update involves removing the cars' name from the exterior"
Why? Why do they want to take away the names? Whose idea is that?

Some idiots thought the car was going to that particular state.

Are you serious? I can't believe that would be the reason that Amtrak would be taking the names off the cars.

I once remarked at several forums how during 2001, I walked from Massachuetts to New York in order to take a shower.

I wish someone really knew the scoop on this...taking the names off is just stupid.

I agree. I do believe I recall them still laving the decals on the inside doors (connecting cars). Have they removed any of these yet? I sure hope not.
