I've noticed that Marty's entries have slowed down, which, I assume, means she's having a very good time on her trip and no time for writing. It's either that, or we need to call Hercule Poirot?

Pennsylvania at the moment...... Chicago yesterday, Raton Pass the day before.
My comment was based on what connectivity she might (or might not) have found in New Mexico and southeastern Colorado.

Well, #30(18) arrived PGH on time and 42(19) left same.
Pittsburgh is a great town, and of any "rust belt" city, Pittsburgh has the potential to reinvent itself to a cultural and intellectual mecca - and of course the high value technology related industries such an environment attracts.
But I can think of times that I would rather be there than from 430A to 720A with my world confined to the Amshack that was once the Baggage Room at the magnificent Penn Station there (quite live and well; albeit in a non-rail role).
But alas, Granny, aka Marty, Dr. Hale, is by my ready admission a far more intrepid traveler than I. Tonight will be her greatest challenge (BTW, as of a few moments ago, Roomettes are still open PHL-97(19)-SAV).

A lot of my posts lately (at least the shorter posts) have been on Facebook. This morning, I reached 113 followers on my Facebook page! I've been giving the play by play there, as there are a few on the forums (fora?) that don't like for me to share every little detail. Still having a great time!!! On the Pennsylvanian right now and it is beautiful. Some of the little houses and small towns remind me of New England. And, of course, the river is spectacular! Granny, I did try out Farcebook for about three weeks last year; it proved nothing and I requested, with the help of a fifteen year old neighborhood kid, to remove the account in its entirety.
That major corporations, like General Motors, where advertising comprises a greater portion of their operating expenses than others are now questioning the efficacy of paid advertising on Facebook leads me to wonder just how sound the FB bet that some fellow made with his kid's college education fund will be.

Facebook aside, Gil, you will be happy to know that I cheated and bought a second coach seat (right beside my first one) so that I'm assured of not having to sleep beside a stranger ... if, indeed, I do fall asleep!! I will keep you posted as to my varying levels of misery!

In all fairness, though, the kid is eleven years old and there is time to "make it up". However, if she were seventeen, I'd really be questioning the prudence.
God help some client if he ever asked my thoughts on such a move. Trust me, they did back during the 1999 "tulip" (whoops, dot bust) frenzy. My response; I do not hold licensure to give investment advice, and which I never did. Some accountants do obtain such licensure, but so far as I was concerned too great a potential for a conflict.

I am still not able to program telephone numbers into my cellphone speed dial.......
But every Monday-Friday I have the ready- resource of nearly 1,000 high school students and at least a dozen of them have been happy to offer some technical support over the past decade!

You know, the funny thing is, you could get the same help from 5th graders, and many 3rd graders!
