All--

I just discovered that Amtrak points can no longer be converted to United Miles. However, I discovered that they can be converted to $Value Credits for our cruise line of choice, Celebrity.

Since I have no plans for a major Amtrak trip soon I believe I'll make the change. The credits can be applied to any new Celebrity booking and that's certainly not difficult for us to do!

Sure wish Amtrak could partner with one charity or the other so my 16K or thereabouts could have a home.

Fisher House (veterans support) will soon have a bundle of United points from me. After ORD-MUC-ORD starting tonight, I still have two more United flights on tap - namely ORD-HPN-ORD and ORD-RIC-ORD - this year. Then I'll clean 'em out.

I can't be bothered with 'em (neither can my Sister who will have two JFK-SYD-JFK on Qantas this year).

The Cleveland Orchestra and the Detroit Symphony orchestra split equally the cash value of my Capital One points. Bank of America; I'm greedy. I get a $100 JCPenney Gift Card whenever I have enough.
