I'm trying to locate a photo(s) of the 20th Century Ltd. Outside or inside photos. 1930s would be ideal.

I need .jpg for a Web site, but there's no budget. We can give photo credits. It's to advertise a production of "On the Twentieth Century" (the musical). You may not know what it's like in the arts, but money is always tight. I'll bet baseball doesn't have this problem.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Elaine

There is a private New York Central railroad car that would have ran on the 20th. The car is restored and currently used for charters. The car is located in Connecticut. The owner may have some pictures. See web site http://www.nyc-3.com/ or contact walt@kebalo.com

There is a book called "20th Century" written by Lucius Beebe. I believe that train was one of his favorites to travel on. It has some full color pages, and many illustrations. It also provides plenty of narrative on this train from its famous passengers to its famed service. Copyright is 1962 by Howell-North Books. Good Luck with the production.

Also a special issue of Trains magazine, Jan., 2000. The front cover has a picture of the locomotive used on the Dreyfuss styled train of the 1930's. It shows the front of the engine. Another source is Model Railroader magazine, April 1988. This issue was dedicated to the train of the 1930's.
