An interesting read regarding a train that operates once-weekly between San Carlos de Bariloche at the foot of the Andes and Videdma on the Atlantic Ocean.

585 miles 19 hours (avg 27mph)

Bariloche is a city where the culture is German and as such became a haven of Nazi war criminals at large. By now, safe assumption that they are all either deceased or were captured by foreign powers.
