Is it possible to get from NYP on a 9:15am arrival Empire Service to Newark airport for an 11am flight? Seems like it would be: 9:27 NJT to EWR then the AirTrain....but I have never done this so I don't know. How long is security at EWR? Is 10am arrival early enough? It looks like AirTrain fare is included in NJT fare...is this true? I am hoping to be in Hudson NY scouting it out as a place to live and taking in the fall coloration. This would be 10/16/09.

I'd agree with Mr. Norman on this one. I like to have at least 1 1/2 hours to get through security. I'm assuming you will be checked in online and not checking luggage?
I'll be interested to hear how your connection using AirTrain goes. I've ridden it, but only between terminals. Generally I like EWR and find it a pretty easy airport to navigate.

My understanding is that the AirTrain fare at EWR is included in the NJT fare.
My wife will be using EWR to NJT to NYP on October 10. I'll know more about how it goes after that.
